Relay Team Rules

Each relay team consists of two members. The first team member will run 7.4 miles, the second team member will run 7.7 miles. There are three categories for competing as a team:

  • Male – two male team members
  • Female – two female team members
  • Co-Ed – one male and one female team member

Participants must determine their own transportation to and from the exchange point.

Parking is available and noted on the map.  Please pay special attention to any parking restrictions and be respectful of residents and private property.

Relay Race Instructions
  • Each team member will receive a bib. The bibs may be different and have different numbers.
  • The team will receive a timing anklet.
  • At the start of the race, the first runner will wear the timing anklet.
  • The exchange point will be in the area where the trail goes under the Bamber Valley Rd. SW.
  • The first relay runner will first pass through the exchange zone at roughly 2.9 miles. The runner will continue through the exchange zone and continue on the course.
  • When the first runner returns to the exchange zone, at roughly 7.3 miles, they will pass the timing anklet to the second runner. The second runner will secure the anklet around their ankle and begin their portion of the relay.
  • The second runner will return the timing anklet at the finish line.

Who They Are

A pacer is an experienced runner who is able to maintain a consistent speed throughout the event allowing other runners to join in and achieve their race goals. The TerraLoco Pace Team will be our official pacers.

How to Join

There is no need to sign up in advance; just find the designated TerraLoco Pacer carrying the sign closest to your goal time, and join the group.
